Our home is in Hudson, and we firmly believe that St. Croix County is an exceptional and remarkable place for living, working, and raising a family. In 2012, my wife and I chose to relocate here due to the outstanding schools and promising opportunities that would enrich our lives.

Running for public office is a decision rooted in my unwavering principles of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, as enshrined in our constitution and granted by our creator. I am dedicated to serving our community and ensuring that our collective voice is heard and respected.

It is crucial to recognize that our area plays a significant role in contributing to the St. Croix County Tax Levy. As your County Supervisor, I commit to prioritizing the interests of taxpayers and our fellow neighbors. Every decision will be made with your best interests in mind, and I will diligently explore all options before allocating your hard-earned money.

Hudson holds a special place in our hearts, and it is my priority to approach governance with common sense, always placing families and taxpayers at the forefront of every endeavor. Together, let us continue to cherish and enhance our beloved community, upholding the values that make it such an exceptional place to call home.

 LIST OF ISSUES

BUDGET - STILL WORKING ON, PROGRESS MADE

Restore fiscal accountability to the county's budget. No more 5%+ increases. Spending increases like what we have seen the last 4 years impacts all of us. Whether we rent or own the place we call home, we all pay in the end. If elected, I will work tirelessly to restore fiscal responsibility to our county budget!

WHEEL TAX - STILL THERE, Working on this!

The wheel tax is an optional line item that Counties are allowed to levy with vehicle registration. If elected, as your supervisor, I will work hard to find a way to eliminate this extra fee for all residents of the county! All while finding ways to maintain our infrastructure.

HUDSON AREA LIBRARY FUNDING - DONE!

As President of the Hudson Area Library Board, I have watched first hand as the county has siphoned off our funding to other libraries around the county. We are the only library in St. Croix County which only receives 70% of the money that we have levied for our library. All other libraries receive their full funding level at 100%. We are the MOST COST EFFECTIVE Library in the State of Wisconsin. I will work hard to restore that funding to its rightful place.

NON-BINDING REFERENDUMS - LINE HELD!

You may have noticed each of the last spring election cycles, there have been attempts to or have been non-binding referendums being placed on the ballot. While it is important to understand what the voters want, it is also imperative that we use this tool in a manner that will truly impact the voters. I admonish the current board for using the non-partisan election cycle to put partisan inspired referenda on the ballot. This has been done 2 of the last 3 election cycles, with one failing in 2018. If elected, I will push for better use of our time-solving issues instead of creating ones that don't exist.

BIKE TRAIL PROJECT - WORKING ON SOLUTIONS

As someone that grew up biking, I see and understand a real need for bike trails and pedestrian safety throughout the County. I believe we can achieve such a network without violating an individual property owner's rights and also utilize private partnerships to achieve these trails or pathways. An alternative would be to partner with private sector companies and foundations to achieve our goal. I will always stand up for the rights of the individual, and in doing so will foster a way to accomplish what we need while preserving liberty.

BUSINESS - PROGRESS MADE!

As a small business owner in the city, I understand the need to lay the foundation for our businesses to thrive. Thriving business both big and small is the heartbeat of America. If elected, I will work hard to reduce the tax burden that our local businesses feel in order to succeed. If elected, I will be your voice!
